i need a rendered image. but i got an odd message.
what IS the best way to get an image for other purposes?
and, is it created or just a ‘print screen’
also - what does ‘New Image’ mean

Click on “Save As Image” , if you click “Save Image” and have not defined the file path in File -> User Preferences -> Files tab, you’ll get that message in the screenshot
Now for the "New Image, in your screenshot something to keep in mind is that the render result is generated inside of the UV/Image editor, it’s used for more than collecting the render results, new image will just do that, it will create a new blank (or color/grid filled) image for your texturing/painting purpose.
