Rendering faces one-sided

Hello there,

I would like to render the faces of an object only one-sided.

To achieve this, I unchecked the ‘Double Sided’ option in the editing/mesh panel.
Now all faces are getting displayed one-sided in the 3d viewport of Blender. But when rendering the image the faces can be seen from both sides again, meaning they are double sided.

Can somebody please tell me how to render faces only one-sided?
