Rendering fails on denoise

This renders fine up to the point of denoising, once denoising is complete there is light and I get an error:(see below) additionally I have a successful rendering with the same setting but, only on Lexan panel. Output resolution set to X 7200 Y 4800 200% Denoise is set to use Optix @ 0.01. Any help would be greatly appreciated! GPU RTX 4000

Ant help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Brent

Does denoise work properly in the viewport?
For GPU related issues, I recommend reinstalling the driver first.
Many issues are solved by reinstalling (updating) the graphics driver.

OPTIX_ERROR_UNKNOWN in optixDeviceContextCreate

Here is a link to the same error.

I don’t know what the path is.

Hi Kim,

Thank you! I think the culprit was my resolution settings. I lowered by half and rendered with no issues.

So basically trying to output and denoise a single image at 14400 x 9600 resolution…

Will to bet it failed due to running out of VRAM.

Also, you really should only use OptiX for fast viewport denoising and change to ODIN for final render, since it’s generally better quality.

It’s an unexpected size.

@Brent63 Reduce the tiling size of your rendering settings for larger rendering.
If this doesn’t work out either, you’ll need to split and render.
