Rendering issue

Why the scene on the left renders as seen on right? All wooden objects have the same material, but for some reason the vertical log closest to the camera disappears (the short stub is the core of the log).

Is the vertex count too high? My laptop has 8GB RAM.

I created a new “log” in Blender with same specs and the issue disappeared :thinking:

The original log was part of a model imported as .3ds from Wings3D.
