Rendering problem of extruded regions

Hi artists,

I’m having a rendering problem on blender when rendering a cylinder with an extruded end. The extruded region renders almost black and is completely differently than the rest of the cylinder. I have tried to recalculate normals, flip normals and so on. It does have an impact but not in the ways I had hoped to uniformize it. After reading a few topics about similar subjects none of the solutions really corrected my problem. So here I am… any help ? ideas ? (see enclosed picture for a more visual description of the problem)


Add additional loop or two near the end. Seems you’re generous with them elsewhere :slight_smile:
