Me and my wife talked today about Resilience Satelle potential.
We both agree on how cool would it be if Resilience Satelle was:

  • An Platformer/RPG game, mostly platforms like Super Mario 64, but with more story and interactions with the villages people;
  • The current island would be the starting point and each of the far aways islands would be a diferent level (like icy island, desert island, fire island, forest island, etc).
  • You would travel from island to island on the ship ballons;
  • Each island would have new characters adapted at each ambient;
  • You would play with the 3 characters, and you would switch by each of them to reach and/or complete specific challenges;
  • Finaly all the FMV would be at 360º (as we always wanted), controllable with the camera game pad!

Now this finally looks like a Plan! :smiley:

I actually think that would be a good idea, while I liked the idea you had for this project being a interactive-movie game, I think if you had more classic game elements to it, rpg, platformer, ect, it may appeal to a larger audience.

That said, don’t overdo it! Don’t make things more work than it already is for you! :laughing:

Thanks @ArtAvenue! :slight_smile:
The only thing that prevents us of making this happen, in a 2 years time frame, is money!
Having a clear idea of what we want to achieve is the first step to a successful pitch with the money folks… and now it finally feels like something that can actually be pitched :grinning:

Hello Friends! Good to write again with the rigger hat on :smiley:
Finally, I had some time to rig Miss Julieta from the flower shop!

It still has some weight painting little bugs, but tomorrow I’ll take care of them and will attempt to make a beautiful demo render of her.

Best regards
Rogério

Hello friends!
I thought you would fancy seeing how I place the bones on the characters.
One of the most important things is to give a safe margin for all the loose parts, those things that we don’t want to deform close areas:

So, eyes, eyes glow, hats and bowtie belts, I place them 1 meter from the main body! This way when we assign the weights to it they won’t deform any undesired area!

All the secondary characters share the same bone structure and naming convention, this is to ensure that:

  • Animations can be shared between them (like walking, idles, etc);
  • The animator doesn’t have to learn a new rig for each character;
  • It’s easier to add it.

The only inconvenience of this method is that characters look very creepy while we are working on them:

…Looks like an old Sega Saturn comercial! :slight_smile:

Have a great weekend!
See you on Monday!

Hello guys!

Today I finished the total painting of the TavernKeeper of the village.
Now all that remains is to put a skeleton in order for it to gain life and movement, but it will be Rogerio Perdiz who will do that part.
I’m going to start sketching a new character and tomorrow I’ll show you.

Hope you like it!

Hello friends!
I’m replying on behalf of @Rute_Perdiz

Hello guys!

Today I started to sketch another character for our project, Resilience Satelle.
This time, it will be the musician’s turn and this, for me, is special.
I chose a diatonic accordion player because I used my nephew as a reference to draw, so much so that I gave him his name, Pedro.
Monday I will start modeling him.

I present to you Pedro, the musician :smiley:

Hope you like it!
Best regards,
