Retopologising but weird baking

good evening I have been :rage: troubled this baking has caused me anguish :angry: my best guess is a small uv and I’ve also made the lower poly mesh have a larger distance to the higher poly meshes faces and it didn’t work but idk anymore :angry: :rage: :rage:

Is the problem the yellow areas on the baked normal map?

If yes, those are likely caused by the bake seeing through the model because the low poly model intersects the high poly.

If you go in the bake settings, you can add some “extrusion”. This will cause the low poly model to temporarily be inflated for the bake, making sure it doesn’t intersect inside the high-poly model. Keep the setting as low as you can, or it could cause problems in other areas, like between the fingers.

If you can’t find a good value, you may need to use the “cage” instead. That one is a bit more complicated, so you would need to look for tutorials.
