Created a retro scientific calculator watch. Then also created a fake 90s magazine ad to go with it.
Had the idea for a while but could never get the modelling right so I tried in plasticity and it was much easier. Then moved to blender for the rest and photoshop to finish.
AI was only used to generate the stock photo because I couldn’t find what I wanted but I drew the sketches on the chalkboard and a few little easter eggs.
This is great.
Very, very cool. From idea all the way to execution it’s perfect.
Realle really well done.
The fake old-style advertising is very nice.
Could you explain(or show) which part of the advertising image was made by AI?
Thank you! Of course. The stock image of the man at the chalkboard was generated in gemini. I first was looking for a regular stock image but there was nothing that looked how I was picturing it or it cost way too much. It also didn’t really understand how I wanted the sketch so I erased it and drew my own using procreate.
I’m a bit hesitant with AI but I think it can be used as a tool for certain things.
I have attached the original image and can see how it makes the sketch too good on the chalkboard.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
