Rig a Character for Unreal Engine

Greetings,

I’m working on a project. I have 4 characters that need rigging and animation (2 of the characters have the same body, another is similar, but differently scaled, the last is completely different). I’d prefer to map them onto the Unreal Engine Manaquine Skeleton so I can acquire animations from the Epic Market Place. The issue I’ve run into is that their proportions do not match, and attempts to shoehorn them onto it creates very odd distortions.

Otherwise, if the characters do need custom rigs, any help with the following animations would be helpful:

  • Walk Cycle
  • Idle Sequence(s)
  • Bored Sequence
  • Jump Animation
  • Dance Cycle
  • Wave

Any help would be appreciated. You’d be credited for help.

I’ve seen those videos and many like them, but both of those import a custom rig, not use the standard UE4 humanoid rig. Which means that I can’t leverage UE4 marketplace animations. I may have to go the route of the custom rig, as I said in my first post, but what I’m really hoping to be able to use some marketplace animations to fill in some gaps.
