Hello, Sorry if my question sound stupid its just i’m pretty new to blender and i’m trying to rigg a character i did and now i’m at the face and i don’t know what to do for the face because my character its a furry its the character in the screenshot below
And i’m trying to figure out how to do a face rigg for this kind of character i’ve try normal human metarig face and its kinda weird on this character but yea i’m not sure just want some information if someone can help me a appreciate it thank!
One main head bone, 1 each for the upper and lower jaw, 1 each for the ears. The rest can be done using shape keys.
Do you mean just place a few bone because I’ve try but i keep getting error but i can reetry yea
If automatic bone weighting fails, check for non-manifold geometry (Select-Select All by Trait - Non- Manifold), or normal inconsistencies. If nothing helps, weight paint manually
ok i’ve manage to attach a facial rigg to the character but like i have a few bug i don’t know how to fix like the jaw is not straight the teeth and the tongue don’t really follow the mouth correctly the eye go out of their orbit when i rotate them if someone can just look and tell me how to fix that i appreciate it because i don’t find any tutorial on this i mean i don’t know if i’m looking correctly but yea thank in advance here the link to my character https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F3CyPl37lDXE0f3_GqdHHVUpEovtpqwz/view?usp=share_link
and Sorry in advance if its a dumb question i don’t know 100% blender so yea i’m trying to leearn

Ok i’ve check and your right i have some spiner bone in the head but like thats something i didn’t quite understand well with weight painting do i need to weight paint the metarig and after that generate the rigg and parent to my meesh with automatic weight or like i try to weight paint the rigg itself because i’ve try but pretty the neeck bone appear pink when i select them with the rigg sorry if its a stupid question but yea i don’t quite understand well
I do not work with metarig or rigify. But I assume you need to locate a skeleton which is meant to be “deform bones” (not control elements) and weight only it. And if you use automatic weights, they arent quite reliable when it comes to face bones. I’d weight paint such elements manually (with Auto Normalize enabled, so their weights get subtracted from jaw/head bones
Hi, try this tutorial first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fICQmBEt4Y
You also have some unnecessary modifiers on the eyeball that need looking at, that’s the reason the eyes moving out off the eye socket.
Hey thank for your reply and thee tutorial going to look at it but for the eyee its because i,vee follow a tutorial to put it in the rigg i’ve follow this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1pL-ZUL0YUbut if you say its not the thing to do how do i make the eye the teeth and thee tongue work with the rigg?
It’s the eyes modelling not the rigging that needs fixing you have mirror modifiers on both eyes.
ok so i’ve remove the mirror modifier on both eye and they still clip trought the orbit sorry if like i said if i’m asking a stupid question is just i don’t know how to fix them if you can help me with that i appreciate it for real
ok i’ve figure it out thank !
