Background information
I love drawing and I do a bit of drawing for my guild in World of Warcraft. That nerdy MMORPG that half the western population atleast has heard of in some aspect. I am by no means a professional nor a good artist. I just try to make scenes which are relatable to my friends and that will let us have a laugh.
However I have great difficulty placing people in 3d space. I have found a work-around for my lack of talent by posing base models in Blender to create the scene and rendering it out. Then I am able to add detail and draw over that. See below an example of my work:
I have free to use models of humans, male and female. I have a model I use of a really burly human that I use for something like an Orc. Or a skinny male for an undead person or troll depending on what I need. I can scale a little in Blender.
What I don’t have, is a model for a Gnome. And in our community we have a Gnome that gets involved in hijinks and I would like to add her to some of my drawings. But in order to put a Gnome in the proper size and proportions in 3d space, I need a model.
The job
I need a rigged custom model of a representation of a female Gnome from World of Warcraft. With this I don’t mean a 1 on 1 copy of the model that WoW uses for their Gnome player characters. I can rip that from game myself if I want to. I need a more realistic, less stylized version of what a Gnome could be. Something that will fit more with the narrative of the drawings as seen in the example above.

What I mean by basic model is the following:
- A model without any clothing;
- No need for details. I don’t draw porn so I have no need for nipples and genitalia and the like.
- No hair, just a bald head so I can use it for multiple characters in the future
- A detailed face however, I wish to be able to perceive depth in lips, eyes, eyebrows and the shape of the head.
- Doesn’t need to be hyperrealistic.
- Maybe certain parts of the body colored for added visibility. Like fingernails, eyes a different color from the base model, that sort of thing.
- Hands need four fingers.
- You are more than welcome to reuse old assets if that speeds things up
And naturally, I would need to be able to pose the character. That means a good rig. The mouth and eyes don’t need to be able to move. But I wish to be able to realistically turn the head around, tilt it, and ofcourse the limbs and the curve of the spine. Basically what a good rig is made of.
The payment
If we can come to an agreement on the job and I am indeed to hire you for the amount you asked I am more than willing to pay half up front and half before receiving the final blender file with the rigged model.
The process
I’d like to have moments of contact where we can touch base to see if we are going down the right route. I’d love to be able to see progress updates and maybe ask for adjustments here and there where I see them as necessary. Naturally you are allowed to limit the amount of revisions. I will leave that to you to decide before hand.
