Hi i require your help please.

In the tutorial it shows the ik hand being scaled bigger, how to i do this?

So you do not need to watch the video, i need to know how to scale a bone bigger.

When i try the bone just gets longer or shorter, i need the new bone to envelope the hand bone in my case.

You probably mean Ctrl+Alt+S to scale a b-bone
