Rigid bodies being repeled


I’m completely new to Blender, maybe this is some basic stuff, but none of the tutorials helped and I’m trying to wrap my head around this for days.

I’m trying to do a collision where one object (Rigid Body Passive Animated) hits a bunch of smaller objects (Rigid Body Active). Those small objects react in a way I haven’t seen in any of the tutorials: they are repelled by the Passive as if it was a strong magnet or something. They fly away from it. They only do it if when i tick the checkbox “Animated” in the hitting object’s RB properties. I started from scratch numerous times, sometimes this happens, sometimes not, but usually it does and I have no idea why.

Here the cylinder repells the cells of a cell fractured box.
