Riverside Ruins Environment – Real-Time Scene in Blender

Hey everyone!
This environment was inspired by ancient ruins nestled beside a riverbank. I modeled and textured all assets in Blender, aiming for a cinematic look with mossy stone, water reflections, and dynamic lighting. The scene is optimized for real-time rendering and could be adapted for games. I used Cycles for final renders and layered the atmosphere with volumetrics for depth.

Your model and the whole setup is not only inspired by but a 1:1 realisation of Chapter 1 of Rob Tuytel’s ‘Creating 3D Environments in Blender’ tutorial. Then name it properly and don’t sell it as your intellectual property! The whole community recognises what you do! See how others did it: Echoes of a Glorious Past

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

:arrows_counterclockwise: Update: This scene is a realisation of Chapter 1 of Rob Tuytel’s “Creating 3D Environments in Blender”. It was created as a learning exercise to study lighting, composition, and environmental storytelling using Blender.
