Tried to make a likeness sculpting study on Blender, again. Inspired by the movie“Killers of the Flower Moon” and referenced a scene in movie with actor Robert De Niro. Sculpted & rendered on Blender, texturing on Substance 3D Painter. Hope you like it.
Amazing work!
This is quality work!
The likeness is very good but you’ve also captured the older De Niro composure.
The younger De Niro was great in film but I find there’s an extra dimension in his recent performances. tricky to pin down, a pensiveness, a melancholy maybe.
I see it in your study.
Thanks! Thank you for feeling the emotions behind this study.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
You’re on the featured row! ![]()
Would love to see a clay render
Amazing! the details are stunning!
You are very talented brother
This is a great sculpt! Really accurate to how he looks.
But I have to say that you still got some work on the texturing and shading, he looks really soft and flat. The SSS might be cranked a bit too high, and looks to be quite even over the whole surface so an SSS texture would help alot. For example the light seems to penetrate his nose fully through which is not what happens on a human, while the ears often have a bit more of soft shine through than the rest of the face.
Also the albedo texture seems quite even across his face. Try looking up some refences on how albedo textures on humans looks.
But again, the sculpt is great, and so is the clothes, just need that extra bit of push ![]()
hey! i do like oranges, especially the thin one
are there any?
evertheless, great picture
Thanks for your comment, that’s helpful for me!
