Hello everyone. I am working with this character. A time ago I made the head and bit of the chest and now I decided to make the entire body. I am working in the design and mechanical definition and also comparing it with other robots. I attach some work in progress renders of the robot and also image references of what kind of style I am looking for. Thank you in advance for your comments.

New renders. I have made more details in the legs, I have made the gas granade, some kind of bullets, and others weapons. The shotgun is from Rjjonesy99. Rjjonesy99

Added flashlights, details in the arms, some modelling fixes on the head.

I have to keep working on the hands and feet, but I started to try some colors.

I have tried some posing of the robots. These robots are made for manifestation control. I think the modeling is complete, I have to make the textures now, with the dust, paint imperfections and damage.
What do you think?

Cool robots! Would love to see some text and decals on the chest area that currently feels a bit empty. I don’t think it’s the final pose but the arm feels weird. If the rotation isn’t limited I think it looks better on the floor. It’s also difficult to see the “eye” sensors with texturing you could try and make that stand out more :slight_smile:

Hi BlenderRens, thank you for your comment. The original idea of the right arm of the fallen robot was that he was holding a Taser gun. Like he is damaged but still fighting. I should model it and add it to the robot. Totally agree what you are saying about the decals and text in the chest. That s the next step. For the eyes maybe I can set a higher intensity to the emission shader.

Nice robot, the emission shader could have some randomness feed into it, for extra detail like greyscale, normally looks better after a blur pass

Hi ad2014, yes I will keep your comment in mind and try some variations to the emission shader. And when I have to make the post production I will try the blur effect on his eyes, like a glow effect.

Suggest a little more texture on those grenades so they don’t look at all like batteries:slight_smile:
