Robot

Looking great! Personally I like the more human version than the cyclops, but thats just me. Great mesh so far, I hope you give it some great materials and really make this good

I think the cyclops version looks like it has a video camera attached to its head.
Iā€™m also not sure that I like the blue light.
But I like the lighting!

Yea I donā€™t know reallyā€¦ I think the one on the left looks more like Iron Man to me and I loved him so I think I am a bit bias :D. But the cyclops isnā€™t bad either! I donā€™t know which one is better reallyā€¦

Thanks for the comments everyone.

VCR head hah  You only saw the nice side of it. The nice service bot.

HereĀ“s one photo with the game face on. Gave it teeth today. It also looks quite nice without the metal lower jaw.

Also modified the cyborg face. I think I managed it to look little bit meaner.

IĀ“ll let this rest till weeken and think about this.

I like the cyborg a bit better now.

Head dilemma sorted. I think it came out quite well. Also subrame and inside stuff is in the works.

WhatĀ“s left
-hands
-fore-arms might get some tweaking
-trapetzius area
-insides

Not much work left before rigging.

Also vertex ammount has dropped 450 000 to 370 000. Because of the separation process.

l liked the beast cyclops. So im going to work on that after this. IĀ“ll keep the same humanoid form but alter the body to suit the head.

Been working with this last two days now.

WhatĀ“s done since last time:

  1. Made neck
2.Minor changes to the glutes area
  2. Finished the head by trimming the pieces
  3. New fore-arms. I think these are the 4th or 5th fore-arm I made for this  .Realized the old fore-arm could not rotate. So had to fix it.
  4. New back plates with dual main power cores. After I made the new neck I thought it had too many vertical lines so changed the desing and got rid of the old back plates.
  5. Been working on the robotics, specially on the legs.

Managed to drop the vertices account again. Now about 330 000 vertices on the exo-skeleton.

You`re a very talented modeler.

Thank you for your kind comment Rexono. IĀ“m starting to really enjoy modelling and founding it really
addictive. With this project I managed to take a big leap with my modelling skills.

Small update.

I decided to start rigging at this point. Still working on the insides but the exoskeleton is pretty much done so wanted to see if there was problems with the movement and parts.

Rigging is going pretty well but the copy rotating constraints are really killing me. Anyway I want to learn rigging with blender as thoroughly as I can so iĀ“m gonna spent some time learning it.

After rigging is complete IĀ“ll finish the insides and change the exoskeleton if thereĀ“s problems.

Because the copy rotating constraint started to hate me and after 4 hours trying decided to relax my nerves and did a test movement render. Got bit carried a way. Lord sidius payd a visit.

HereĀ“s a high-res photo: http://www.saunalahti.fi/mes81/Blender/Master.jpg

It look like heā€™s serving some kind of dark lord.
Creepy, but cool.:stuck_out_tongue:

Working on the insides. How does it look robotic wise?

Now 270 000 vertices on exo. About the same for the insides.

Wow! How long did all that take? That looks awesome! Great modeling job, massive amount of detail.

I gues itĀ“s taken about 3 weeks but modelling when I have free time not every day.
