Wanted to create cyborg/robot/armor/suit. Used ironman as an sketch. Still some work left but let me know what you think?
Next work areas are:
1.feet
2.hands
3.neck
4.leg weist joint area.
5.Overall tweaking. Specially face is going to get some modification
6.Adding details
I DonĀ“t think iĀ“m going to make any major modifications to itĀ“s lines. IĀ“m going to rig it and use in some animation.
it looks great, allthough i would make the arms a bit longer, to make the proportions a bit more human
the fingers as i recall should reach the half of the thigh
Is this what your looking for? I deleted all the subsurf. This is little bit earlier version because iĀ“m currently working on linux 64-bit now and cant access the current one because iĀ“m on vista now. But the model hasnt changed much.
IĀ“m trying to make this kind a functional model so if you remove the shoulder armor there is a working mecanism to see. ThatĀ“s why theres some stuff there.
They should bend. Guess got caught up getting it look good. Maeby make the foot armor edes go little inward and bigger gaps. Thanks man.
Luckily got Irom Man dvd so can check how things work
Yeh it does look like an evil twin . The final outlook hasnĀ“t been determined yeat. Depens on few things mainly on the story/scene where I use it.
Few queastions.
Would it cause me problems when I animate and rig it if I make the metal sheets on his biceps and legs separate? Cut the pieces where the greases are and perhaps ad and subframe where they attach to.
Any ideas about the vertices amount? If I remember correctly It has now about 450 000 veritses with subsurf 2 all a round. I have pretty decent machine 3,5ghz quad and 4gb memory and so far it plays plays pretty decent on test animation.
Animation for me is not even a āpointā yetā¦ hehehe, but iāll get there! Anyway from what i read i guess thatās a big amount for a animation characterā¦but i MIGHT BE TOTALLY WRONG! Beware!!!
HavenĀ“t have time to work on my carrachter lately. School is keeping busy. How ever did work on it little today. Decided to go a head with separation plan. Started with the thigh.
Took me about 4 hours to make the subframe and separate the plates. First time doing this. The subframe looks so simple that you might not believe it. Took 15min to add the garnish inside the leg which looks like it should have taken more time compared.
Ok. Got some work done. WhatĀ“s changed since last time.
-re-did arms from schratch
-fingers are done
-had mobility issue with old thigs so made new. Upper part goes inward so leg can be raised higher.
-front waist has been worked
-knees are improved and done
-got the lighting better since previous posts.
-polished it
Whats left? Too much to list. The further I go the more I can think things to do. Gotta think a better working title for it.
Been working with this the whole weekend. And itĀ“s fighting back The face you seen so far was just a templet so I could move on with the rest.
I guess the face is the most important single part and after many hours I ended up with āfox snoutā and "vacuum face"among others. Began to loose my nerves.
Finally I got one decent head. DidnĀ“t really like it. So decid to start from scratch. Looked my cyborg gallery for inspiration and decided to try to make an cyclop. Used tricks from creature factory and made this. IĀ“m gonna add teeth creature factory style. I think it will add interesting aspect to this.
