Room Assemble!

Hello, here’s a little project I’ve been working on in the past few days.

My goal was at first to replicate one of our rooms. After I’ve done that, i decided to animate the apparition of each element, making a cute video. I’m not an animator, but I still had a lot of fun doing it !

  • modeling, rig, anim, lighting and rendering on Blender (Cycles)
  • texturing on Painter
  • compositing on Nuke

I can’t post here the video since I’m a new user, I uploaded it in my Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XgE9eR

Nonetheless, here are some final images

Looks great!

I would like to know how you’ve gotten that reddish tint around where the light and shadow meet on your ‘Day’ image. I can’t seem to find a way to do that reliably.

Thank you !

Its a mix a lighting and comp:

  • Lighting: you duplicate your ‘sun’ and put different values of angle/color/intensity while you keep the rotation

  • Compositing: I render my lights in separate aovs, with some comp nodes, I “spill” my sun then grade

Thanks for the tips!
