Roughness pass?

Is there such a thing as a roughness pass? Or what would be the equivalent?

But is it possible to get this after a princepled vast. Because say we have a mixed setup and we want that output. That doesn’t seem to be possible or is the an aov node which separates the channels after the best setups?

​You can output any combination of nodes at any point before the shader. After the shading you will have to use render passes. Additional AOV will only be used as masks to composite a custom effect in post. I don’t see a practical application that requires a shaded custom AOV, maybe you should try a different approach to solve your problem.
