ROVO - Mars Tactical Vehicle Concept

Inspired by watching the movie Oblivion and designer Daniel Simon’s take on his post-apocalyptic patrol vehicle design with the bubble ship concept.

I included some takes from the project. This is my first project in 2.8.

Nice design. It looks like it is built for speeding around the Martian Salt Flats. And the trolling wheels also come into play when it pops a wheelie.

Awesome brother! I liked the render you picked as well. I was torn whether to make that the lead picture, but after that, I know I should

Have a great weekend!

Thanks! To answer your question the background was added in post as an image.

At the time I was going through a few different backgrounds, so once I focused on that one, I made it a point to color correct the ground to match the background. Originaly the dirt texture I used for the ground was more more orange in color.

I don’t like to commit backgrounds anyway, so I’m used to bringing in backgrounds in post since it’s much easier to fine tune details and add effects in front and behind the central object.
