Ruined video

hello

I have a video here that depending on the player I use to play it, it gets juddering.

Is there any program that can fix this video?
preferably automatically?

thanks

I don’t of any “auto fix video that stutters on some players” software.

Then the video is ignoring the standard it uses … ? Well… ffmpeg sometimes can be a wizard…

The video stops and returns for a few frames, 10 frames I think.
The whole video fails like this.

Are there programs to fix this type of failure?

thanks

I want to remember that depending on the player I use, the video is normal.
in MPC it is normal
VLC on my Smart TV with Android TV fails all the time

thanks

Check the codec used to make the video. Is it a standard codec?
It sounds like a failure when the video has been re-coded - possibly because of a framerate change error.
Also check VLC on your computer. If that works ok it is the Android TV causing the error. Can you change the codec the TV is using?

hello

How do I: change the codec the TV is using?

Is there another quality player that I can use on Android TV to see if the problem persists?

thanks

Whats an Android TV? I never used one - have not watched TV for over 20 years. But to me Android sounds like it is update-able, just like a phone. I may be totally wrong…

Do some research on your TV.

It seems to be a problem with the monitor’s resolution or frequency.

Look up the monitor manual. The manual I looked up says there is an auto-set button.

There are different tools/possibilities like so (for example):

…or you might even… capture the playback… ?? Beacuse it used much of VLC and virtual dub ???

So a newer VLC on a desktop should also play this… and then “export” it ???

Maybe even with another screengrabber ???

MPC-HC is not under development since 2017. Please switch to something else.
