Run cycle tuts or help?

(Pooba) #1

Hey, this is my first post in this forum, but i’m making a character for a game and having a REALLY hard time getting a decent run cycle. I was wondering if anybody could point me to a good tutorial or maybe do it for me (i know i’m lazy)?

Thank you!

OK, this is like an animation bible that
somebody has been nice enough to put
online (I have a copy of this book):

Chapter 2 has some nice examples of run cycles.

Chris

P.S. See the “How to get ahead in character animation”
thread above for some more interesting resources.

flattered the walk cycle tute is being banded around the forums: you’re all very welcome. Also: I can’t believe I forked out $70 for the book

that has now been scanned and is on the above website!!

I suppose it was gonna happen.

Just a quick update: for some reason, the link to my walk cycle tute above is correct, but is disfunctional right now. I am moving this tute to my new website in the next few days. Keep an eye out for it, or go to the index page of my old site to access the tutorial:
