due to a research work (simulating a 3D-correlate-process and its influence coefficients in Blender to define the thickness of a thermal sprayed layer ) i’am looking for a sandblasted steel shader with equal reflections (as on the fotos below). I’am new to 3D-artist work and already tryed some pre-build textures and watched tutorials on youtube… but it wasnt quite fruitful! Hopefully ill get some new input by experienced 3D-artists. So guys, do you have any idea how the shader have to look like? I am open to any kind of help…
try to creat a noise texture, just dots with diffrent color values , and feed it to the roughnes of the princapold shader , i think this should at least do the trick
I only shown a reference to build upon.
Personally i prefer procedural approach for this kind of cases as it all depends on the size/granularity of sand used in blasting, since it defines the roughness of the metal surface.
Also, am more bothered by Cycles failing in shading at high/strong Bump & Normal map values.
