add a cube or such for every modified texture and assign them to their own cube…delete all other meshes, etc…save the Blend, packed…
Now every time you have a texture you want to save open this file and copy it over…everytime you want to use a texture append it to your new blend…
Or if that takes too long and bothersome ( I get it ) try this…
