I know how to render the animation and set the format for it but how do you actually save it as a video after you have selected and rendered it in the quicktime format.
It is automatically saved to the folder you specify in your render settings.
The default folder is shown on the left hand side of the render options window, (i.e. C:\render).
As long as you have the settings set for QuickTime, DivX, etc. it will just save it to the default folder in that format.

is this possible in linux somehow aswell? u know saving straight to divx, or whatever
how would u go about doing this? or in anycase what would u use to convert the avi’s to divx, on linux of course
