One option i don’t like in clone is you cant scale the image up. work around.
I like b projection but error reloading file, plane was joined and image texture was gone.

1st Set up UV map and texture for target object, human. (check image) in uv mode and props texture.
2nd in edit mode add plane rotate x 90, scale to desired size
3rd select plane Verts and unwrap add texture, (check image)
4th Join the objects, object mode, plane then the human. Crtl J
5th Back to edit mode the plane should be still selected
invert the selected. or Ctrl L the human object. (check image)
6th Jump to paint mode and set brush to clone. make sure project paint is on.
7th set cursor to image. and paint.
8th save target image.

Cursor location in 3d view can be at different angle.
Painting image is based off the 3d view so if the image out side the 3d view the image will not draw.

Image must be offset in 3d view, (draw region of human), paint will draw over the main image, casting image.
onto image or object space onto image. Image should be set out of draw region but close enough to shot cursor icon.

Cursor can be set in 2nd, 3d view.
Glitch, set cursor in first 3d view test, undo, then set cursor in 2nd, 3d view. test.

To copy whole image draw do not release mouse button.
