Scaling along an arc?

I often need to slide a bunch of vertices around a radius, bunching them together smoothly like scaling, only around a single point, rather than toward it. I manually created two meshes to show what I mean, I would like to be able to turn the first mesh into the second, more bunched up one, like closing a Japanese fan. Is there any way to do this?

use the spin tool and set the angle to what you need !

Thank you, but I don’t think that’s what I’m looking for. The spin tool seems to duplicate the vertices around a point. I need to slide the vertices around an central pivot point. Like scaling, but around a central point rather than toward it.

the way you show it in first pic
it is done with spin tool and set angle and qty segments and it will do it like shown!
then you could extrude before or after!

scaling change the size of object nothing to do with angle !
