Scaling distance between two faces

Hello everyone!
I’m quite new to Blender and I’m trying some modeling.

Very basic question
I know that in object mode one can choose the “affect only” options and use the scale toole to distance multiple object.

In edit mode though I can’t see an option like that.
I have two faces selected and I want to equally increase the distance each one and the median point between their origins… how can I achieve this?

Select both faces and scale them by pressing ALT-S.

It’s different than scaling them with just “S”, as it does keep an offset between them.

Maybe I’m missing something but using ALT-S doesn’t give me what I want.

This is what I wanna do

And this is what ALT-S gives me

I’ll be interested to know if there’s some combination of tools that do this.
