Scene from my first short - shadow games

Hello, working on a short trailer based on my brothers book ( what happend before) and is aiming to be finished this christmas as a suprice to him. here is one little ( unfinished ) scene…

Video is here ””

Rendered in Cycles
200 frames.
30 sec/frame
color corrected the png sequence in AE
used cg geeks ocean shaders with some tweaks.

Very nice. Your unfinished scenes look better than my finished ones. One critique: the two hills in the distance look a little bit too much the same, they have nearly the same silhouette.

But the lighting is very nice and the colors of the beach and the water are great.

looks really nice :triangular_flag_on_post:

Thx mate

Love the scene it looks great! Would love to know how you did it too. It is really amazing. Nice job! Reminds me a little bit of the Tintin movie they made.

Thx  this is just one scene in a short im working on and i plan to show alot more all the way to release i. December 25,

Its not super complicated to be honest, i have sculpted the rocks and hills and used discplaement, same with the ocean floor, added a hdri and work around with cg geeks ocean shader  cheers

Thx alot

I agree with the previous comment. Really nice, inspiring work. As far as (constructive) criticism goes, I agree that the two distant hills look too similar. More broadly, the whole composition doesn’t quite hang together spatially.
