Sci-fi robot bust design

Robot bust design :robot:

Modeled and rendered in the MagicaCSG SDF 3D editor.
Materials, textures, lighting and rendering done using Cycles.
Slightly post-processed in PhotoScape X (Pro).

MagicaCSG rendering (with some post-processing):

Some creation stages in MagicaCSG:

As you can see, MagicaCSG mesh export can be quite dense if you’ve increased the SDF grid detail level. If I’m not mistaking, meshing is performed using the Marching Cubes algorithm. The polygon count is around 4.6 million.

You can retopologize in Blender if you like, but for a still rendering I usually skip that.

Hope you like it!

Hm, the MagicaCSG is something like Womp 3D, right?

Very cute robo-pug by the way

Thanks! :+1:

Yes, MagicaCSG is an SDF-based 3D editor, like Womp. But MagicaCSG is more advanced, with more shapes and options, and it is faster / smoother than Womp.

Have a look at this thread for much more info, including SDF add-ons for Blender.
