Very good attention to detail. Could stare at this pic for a while before seeing everything there is to it. Must have taken a long time.

hmmm… i have a quesiton… it looks like, tell me if im wrong, but u dont have not even one spotlight in that scene that casts shadows???
if u add some soft burnt shadows to this scene, wow, it will be sooo amazing!

I used radiosity, a few lamps and 1 very low spot with shadows. i tried to add more shadows, but it was too dark (imho;))

:o Excellent image.
Being a chemical engineer, this ressembles my worst nightmare very close. :-?
Cheers.
malefico.
that’s very cool.
i’ve always been a fan
of highly geometric futuristic schtuff like that.
chapeau!
Great pic, thanks for my new wallpaper
Is it just me or should not the green light make the smoke look green?
How did you do the smoke? It doesn’t look like a particle system, and it seems to behave quite differently from the “world” mist (being in one place only instead of the whole scene)
ouch. :o where do you get the patience?? :x :-?
that is really cool

Hi ! I did the smoke with a particule meshe with an add texture
Freid
Huh, that’s amazing…
Was the particle system static? and how many particles there were? And one more: how large the halo-material was?
Hi, thanks,
Was the particle system static? and how many particles there were? And one more: how large the halo-material was?
I hope that will answer :
I think i stoled that material in the first tutorial guide, for an earlier pic, then i tweaked it a bit for that new pic.
Freid
Thanks Freid!
Now I know how to make a decent looking smoke
Fried i think your work is excellent you should consider writing some tutorials.
