Scientific Blender model development

SocialEyes Corporation is developing an AI-enabled global healthcare platform (www.socialeyesus.com). We could like to build anatomically-correct models of various human tissues, especially the eye, which will be rendered with various ray tracing techniques. Someone with an interest in ophthalmology or medicine would be especially relevant.

For example, both the cornea and sclera (the white of the eye) are build from collagen fibers; in the cornea, they’re all lined up so that the tissue is transparent. In the sclera, the fibers are not entirely randomly aligned, but tangled up enough that the tissue is translucent rather than transparent.

This work may go on for a couple of years… anyone with expert skills in Blender and enthusiasm is welcome to apply… you’ll be collaborating with prominent scientists in the field.

Familiarity with NVIDIA Omniverse would also be helpful; eventually we’ll be using the Blender application which is native to this platform.
