Sculpting Pores

I am sculpting my first head in blender (ver 2.5) and have gotten all of the major geometry down. Now, however, it looks way too smooth. I want to add some pores to make it look a bit more realistic. Does anyone know what would be a good way to do this or know of a good tutorial that explains this?

Add a noise texture with normals? You might want to apply it only to certain areas. (like cheeks)
