Hello, why my Select Lasso tool is selecting everything, but my Select Box tool is selecting only a some objects ? They are both in a same mode.
Can you post some screenshots so it’s easier to see the problem? Thanks
With Box selection I’m not able to select the boxes and palette at the left.
With Lasso selection I’m able to.
Is that an object? You also have to have the origin point within the selection I think. I’m personally not sure what the difference is between lasso selection and the normal box but maybe the “selectable” checkbox is checked off, might want to chack that as well.

Ok I looked it up, but I don’t know what could cause the problem that differentiates the two selection methods. Is there a problem with using the lasso selection tool?
Sometimes Blender is wacky and can have differences when selection with circle selection and box selection: objects behind one another might not register.
Does the problem persist if you go into wireframe mode?

Filling a scene with mutliple cubes in also different z- values and overlaps i have no problem selecting them with select box or lasso tool… but selecting via:
- select box : selects all objects “touched” by the rectangle
- lasso tool: selects all objects where the origin point is within the selection area
(it may also depend on the Blender Prefs → Viewport Selection: GPU depth picking… never changed it myself…)
