Select child and find at Outliner

Hello,

I’ve tried looking for this to no avail.
New in Blender coming from C4D. In C4D if i select an object (any object) on 3D viewport, you can hover over the ‘Object Manager’ (Outliner) press S and it will automatically open parenthood and highlight the object. I am a bit confused in Blender as when you select a child and when trying to find at Outliner, I’m not sure where the object is? Am I making sense?

Help please!

Pressing . on your numpad while mouse is in outliner will scroll the item into view. (Should be same as View->Frame Selected)

Good luck!
