I see tooo too many vertices … I can’t select the ones I’d like … I’d like to select the ones close (I’d love face selct too) … but I end up selecting the ones in the distance? is there a way to view the points with the deeper ones faded out or ocluded?
Put yourself in ‘side’ view,
select all the vertices on the side you are working
SHIFT H
hides the other,
then turn back to ‘front’ view
and work
Stefano
S68 already gave the best way to do it.
Hiding (H for selected; Shift+H for not selected vertices) and revealing (Alt+H) vertices you dont want to work on.
Toggle between Ortho and Perspective view (5-key, Numpad) could help do get a better orientation.
A potentially good way could be the use of the ClipSta and Clipend of the viewport as a cut plane. But since you have to set this in the Viewbuttons (Shift+F7), it is not very handy.
But with slider buttons in the 3D viewport this could be a very good feature. (Feature request !!!)
thanks a lot! cool stuff
(about the feature request … a tinsy more general than what you say would be adding clip planes … not necessarely they having anything to do with the vieport)
