Selection Modes Box, Circle and Lasso


Probably basic question but here it goes.

I’m curious how to make Circle and Lasso selection modes to Behave similar to Box one?

For example when using Box Selection I can select edge of a mesh and it will be selected, however Circle and Lasso would only select mesh if I select its Pivot point? Am I doing something wrong?


No, I don’t believe so. Circle and lasso select are more for precise selections in edit mode.

Intriguing question, I just spent about 30 mins looking through user prefs for a setting that would allow you to select any part of mesh in object mode. I couldn’t find one, but doesn’t mean the option doesn’t exist. I can see why, in some circumstances, it would be beneficial to be able to do so.
