Selective softbody simulation

Hey! I was working on a simple model, and I was wondering if it’s possible to use softbody simulation to only affect certain vertex groups. For example things like ears, pouches etc.

I was reading but I can’t seem to find ways to make such things work without making separate objects. While this might work for pouches, ears should maintain proper deformation.

Is there any way to do it?

Enable softbody goal and select the vertex group you don’t want to be affected by the softbody.
