Semi-Procedural Mud Material (Tutorial+Files)

Hey there,
I just released a tool for procedural texture placement in Blender.
This is a material that I created to show off what it can do:

Different PBR channels:

Here’s a tutorial on how to do it:

All files are here:

All included textures are made by me and licensed under CC0

I am just starting out with tutorials so any feedback is much-appreciated :slight_smile:
Have an amazing day

Dude this is fascinating stuff but you should consider doing a procedural mountains tutorial. I think it would attract more people and be more pleasing to the eye.

@all Thanks guys, glad you like it! :slight_smile:
@ChameleonScales done :slight_smile: Thanks
@Thesonofhendrix Are you saying mud is not pleasing to the eye? Ah, then you haven’t applied a thin layer of refreshing swamp water under your eye-lids I see…
I’ll definitely be doing more tutorials for procedural realism in the future, a mountainscape is something completely separate though :slight_smile:

I personally think the mud shader shows an amazing complex node setup similar to what you can accomplish in substance designer.

Thanks. However, only scripts that you have to enable in the add-ons tab qualify for the add-ons tag, so I took the liberty to remove this one

Oh, yes sure. Seems I got a little too excited there…
