Because of the tight time i wanted to do a taster of some of the more fun functions in Blender rather than show how to move cubes and make a chair. Instead we started from a base character (an edit of Base low-poly man by Zuck - available from blendswap.com) The model was painted, hair was added and combed, and it was animated by the children of Urmston Grammer School. Average age 14. I also left out rendering - a good way to save time.
Football was a vague theme, to tie in with the 2010 world cup.
So far I’ve only got three eighths of the files back from the school… getting footage back from schools is often a problem.
