Am I remembering wrong, or was there a spot in Preferences where you can change it so that the default name for an image file is not “untitled”, but the name of the .blend file itself? So if I go to save my image when working on “thing.blend”, the default name for the image file becomes “thing.png”?
I don’t remember ever seeing that myself.
Also couldn’t find a setting like that in current version preferences, or any reference to it in a quick online search.
