Shading problem after using Boolean modifier

Hi,

I got this shading problem after using a boolean could someone help me with fixing it?

Welcome!

That’s because the object is shaded smooth. You need to learn to use “auto-smooth” and “mark sharp”. look up those features, they allow you to have some edges smooth and others sharp on the same model.

Thanks!

But when I’m using auto smooth + a bevel modifier it looks really strange.

Is there a way to use both?

Make a hole in a single face, give it a thickness, bevel, and apply WeightedNormal. This method works well.

It seems to be solved by applying the WeightedNormal corrector to the current state.
※ For bevel issue, you can adjust the shape value. (Please refer to the attached file)
