Shapekeys Driving Bones Issue


First time working with drivers, but for the most part, I have found them to be pretty straightforward with only one exception. I’ve been working with different motion capture formats, and I’ve been having trouble with the FBX mocap, specifically it’s shapekeys. They shapekeys are what contain all of the animation data from the motion capture, and I having been trying to get the shapkeys to drive some bones in my armature. But for some reason, whenever I do, I get this:


The slot turns red and nothing is driven. And I’m not sure why. There’s no error, just nothing happens. Would anyone happen to know what it is I’m doing wrong?

I think I figured it out. In the Property slot I had the ID block set to Object. I changed to to Key and it worked.
