I’m working on getting my realism up. This is my second attempt at a shed, though this one I worked off and on over 2 days and it had 3 iterations until I felt I had achieved a sufficient level that a passerby might actually think it’s the real thing. The shed is not completely as the real thing as I was only given a reference photo, the width and length of the building, the width of the dormer, and the roof pitch. I used fspy to figure out the scaling of everything else from the reference photo. Textures and vegetation came from a variety of sources.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
This looks great! I would love to create a realistic sheds like this. Are the shed models created from scratch using dimensioned drawings…or from a 3rd party? I’m a total newby. Any suggestions to replicate something similar would be appreciated.
Thank you. On sheds like this I’m given rough dimensions and a reference photo, everything is then modeled by hand. If the reference photo is a different size or is missing features, I do estimations and work with the builder to get it right. Most of the sheds I work with do not have prints.
Same is true for my log cabins. I get length, width, overhang, roof pitch, wall height, door and window sizes, and a reference photo that is often in a different size. I create from there.
