hello ,
in one of the tutorials, the one for making a soccerball… I learned about the Ctrl Shift S shortcut to transform, blow up an object…
but… when I type in the shortcut, it s the same as typing in… Ctrl S, the saving Dialog Pops up …
any thoughts? Is it still available on recent Version?? An Alternative??

Maybe you mean the Shrink/Fatten (Alt+S), or the To Sphere transform (Shift+Alt+S).

[SHIFT CTRL S] means “Save as…” like in virtually all the pieces of software on this planet. Even Blender respects some (unwritten) rules, sometimes.
