Short animation: Barrel

Hi, here is an animation I have been working on recently. The area where I live had a prarticularly good grape harves this year and I started making this after seeing some barrels a wine producer I know had just ordered. (I am a bit of a wine ‘enthusiast’) This is my entry for the Blender Animation Festival.

I laughted at the part with the banana that was genius XD

Brilliant, nice sound effects as well.

Awesome, I loved it

Really really cute animation! I love it!

Cute indeed =D i gave 5 starz

Yay! thanks for moving my film to the gallery! and thanks for all the kind comments!

great work, very nice indeed

very well done.
what in the world was the banana for?

very nice work. I liked the banana!

whats the banana about?

Hi Wysiwyg, the Banana is roughly the same shape as the next piece of piping that should come out of the machine. The machine makes a mistake and pops out a banana instead of the angled piece of pipe. It is just a silly toon randommness joke but helps gives the machine some personality.

Your animation get me from “oh no don’t suck em down” to “great refill”.
I love the part where the machine hit him (her, it) self. =)

Was I just imagining things, or did one of those things that popped-out of the filling machine look suspiciously like the Pixar desk-lamp?

Very nice film, I like it a lot, your animating skills are really good, definitely Pixar style !!

really nice short! what engine did you use for render it? Yafray?

Sundialsvc4: I see what you mean, the the hoover piece that comes out bares some resemblance to the pixar lamp but it was not done intentionally.(though maybe subconciously…)

Mpu.Bater: I used Blender internal with AAO for rendering.

I loved the banana. That was the best part. True Bugs Bunny humor like I used to know it as.

that was very well done, it makes me wish i was that good.

Cool animation, though I would have steered well clear of using Le Festin by Camill for your theme music. That song’s already been contracted to a major animation player.
