A difference between the American and the European keyboard is that the y and the z-keys are swapped.
Generally, my European keyboard does what it’s supposed to to, but quite often it happens that suddenly my y-key acts as z-key and vice versa, as if I had an American keyboard. I have no idea why this happens, but I guess that there might be a shortcut to switch between these keyboards, which I accidentally press now and then. Is there anything like that?
Under Windows? Its Alt + Shift and additionally i even can switch with Strg + Shift to an alternative third layout.
