I would think a lot of characters in animated films would look ‘cursed’ if the studios did not make them so human-like for the purpose of being kid-friendly (that and to facilitate the showcasing of the actor behind the character).
You did a good job here giving Shrek a more realistic look without completely going overboard.
Yeah, I enjoy making these types of characters more realistic, expressive, and cursed. I love the result. I mean, I love original characters too, but I like to see a different version of them. So, I´m so glad to read it. Thanks for leave a comment.
I will definitely be staying out if his swamp!
Great work!
Donkey next? Pretty please?
In all seriousness - looks fantastic.
Let me think about it! Sounds nice. Thank you
I would recommend you the same! Thank you.
Dude, the one of the book looks much much better Thanks for comment!
wow he is creepy! Well done!
Thank you!
You could call him Scary Shrek. The other one can be Sunny Shrek
That might be a good idea! Thanks for comment
As always, thanks a lot!
incredible work, the details on the hands and jaw are fascinating, worthy of an animated film
where did you learn to sculpt in blender? any recommended channel or course, I would love to learn the technique
Nice sculpting and character design.
Reminds me of old horror movies, when everything scarry needed to have pointed sharp teeth
Thank you so much for your support. As for where I learned, I have to say that there are very useful tutorials on Internet, (Youtube, Artstation, etc…) I started watching some videos on YT. You just have to do a little research and you´ll find helpful information for free. And on blendernation (https://www.blendernation.com/category/art/behind-the-scenes/) you will find a lot of information about different projects where you can see the workflow of some 3d artists.
Yeah, sharp teeth are always a good option! Thanks for your comment.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
