Simple bend?

I am new to Blender, mind you. I have been beating my head against a wall trying to create an object like this. A beveled curved object that I can place pictures into as the texture. I know how to get the textures in, just not useful beveled curved object. Ideas?http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server1300/edce4/products/434/images/870/curved_blue_engraved__19974.1348761017.200.200.jpg

Apologies as the name of the files suggests its rough! (Late for class already!!) Haha But basically what I would do is to use the default cube, scale it, put a loop cut down the middle and move the full edge loop back. Sub surf, then edge loops to sharpen up the edges. Look at what I have done and turn off the sub surf in the modifier panel to give you a rough idea.

You could use the Warp feature.

  1. build the shape
  2. in edit more select everything
  3. put the 3d cursor where you want the warp to circle
  4. press SHIFT+W
  5. move the mouse to adjust.

Model the thing normally first then just add a bezier circle, after that select the object and add curve modifier and set the bezier circle as the curve.

The bezier circle can be scaled to change the change the sharpness of the bend.

Edit: Remember to add cuts to the original object (ctrl+R)

Thanks everyone! I finally got it. I knew it had to be simple. Just couldn’t get it.
